The Gift (2000) | dir. Sam Raimi
The Castle of Chaythe. Soon we’ll be able to see it: the home of Carmila, the Bloody Countess. You’ve heard of her. For five thousand years her rule of terror lasted, and then, that was that! Your father, the vampire king, grew angry. He was impatient with her vanity; offended by her bloodlust, her gluttony. He grew so tired that he killed her while she slept, impaling her on a sword, and that was it for her.
Except she haunts the place now with phantoms and demons, but you don’t care about that, do you?
Trans “women” are either:
1. Perverted misogynistic men with degradation kink who see femininity as the highest form of degradation
2. Gay men with the levels of internalized homophobia so high that they would rather pretend to be a woman in a het relationship than to be a gay man in a homosexual relationship
3. Autogynephiles
by your logic, i am supposedly a gay man with internalised homophobia. however, i would rather live as a gay man than as a trans woman; transitioning requires a lot of time and effort. I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t have to. I am a transmedicalist, which means that I know that a transition is the treatment for gender dysphoria: a scientifically recognised neurological disorder. Furthermore, I do not subscribe to gender ideology, and I do actually believe that as a trans woman, I am a type of gay man. Therefore, I am not denying anything about myself.
Oooohhh you’re male?
Hi,so yes, I am trans and I follow radical feminism. I don’t really identify as female because I dont think we should uphold gender as a social caste system that places men over women. I would describe myself as a male who is transitioning to treat gender dysphoria.
I think it’s important to make a distinction between what is known in the trans community as a “tucute” and a “transmed.” Tucute is short ifor “too cute to be cis,” and describes someone who doesn’t believe gender dysphoria is necessary to be trans. Tucutes also believe in self identification and that anyone can be trans, and that gatekeeping the community is harmful. Tucutes hold the more chronically online views in trans debates, and when people mention TRAs or gender ideology, they are usually talking about tucutes. I fall under the category of “transmed,” which is short for “transmedicalists,” which means I believe that transitioning is treatment for gender dysphoria, and that if you have no gender dyphoria and zero desire to transition, then you aren’t trans. Essentially, being transmed means I believe in the science behind being a transsexual (btw I much prefer the term “transsexual” as it refers to the original meaning of being trans, whereas the terms “transgender” is an umbrella term that lumps all gender non conformity together and ignores science). Weirdly, transmed beliefs are shunned in the mainstream trans community (which nowadays is made up of a lot of non-trans people who are hopping on a trend).
When I was like 14, I went along with the tucutes, although I always found the logic kinda confusing, and I often found them rude. However, I stopped agreeing with them due to two things:
1) I started listening to different perspectives and hearing what radfems have to say, and it made SO MUCH SENSE and is so much more consistent that gender ideology
2) In recent years, TRAs have eroded the transsexual identity, claiming that you don’t need dyphoria to be trans. I find this insulting, as my dysphoria is literally the reason I am transitioning.
I like radical feminism because it actually targets problems in society, and just in general, it dives so much deeper into issues of sexism.
I don’t like the movement to claim that “trans women are women and that we are identical to biological women” because it invalidates the reason why I am transitioning. Also, I dislike the way that TRAs recognise gender as a social construct, and yet they still go along with it and conform to it even though it harms women. I think gender should be reduced to nothing more than our biological sex, and it shouldn’t define how we act or how we are treated by society.
My view on women’s spaces is that there definitely should be single sex spaces for women who need support, eg., shelters for r4pe survivors. However, I think we should also recognise that trans women (when I say “trans women,” I mean males who have transitioned for a while, not just a male who has “she/her” in his bio), do face discrimination, as we are often fetishised by men, face male violence, and are often forced into sex work due to lack of acceptance and being viewed as sexual objects by many men. Because of this, I think trans women also need safe spaces, but they shouldn’t invade biological women’s spaces. This is not only for the sake of women but also for our own benefit, as the type of discrimination we face is different from what women face. Therefore, we have different needs. Also, if we let anyone enter women’s spaces, then obviously, predatory men will take advantage of it.
I’m glad I found radical feminism as it really goes to the root of the issue. Nowadays, I try to counter the male socialization that I received. For example, I notice how the women around me are putting in more work than the men, who sit around doing nothing while the women do all the chores (kin keeping), and I make sure to help the women out and support them, and try to show that they don’t always have to be the ones to do these tasks. I think part of the reason I am a radfem is because I uave grown up in a mainly female environment. I was raised by my mother and my grandmother, and at school, I tend to hang out exclusively with the girls (just because I relate to them more in terms of interests). I have had little to no male influences, and so I have never been part of “locker room talk,” and my support systems, as well as the people I support, are all female. Therefore, I could never not be a feminist, as I have huge admiration for the women and girls in my life, and I also feel very close to them.
Let me know if you have any questions! 💕
I used to be transmed too. Trying to learn about the trans experience as a kid and then having everything tucutes say counter what I learned threw me for a loop. And when they started demonizing transmeds about as much as they demonized “TERFs,” I figured their ideas of who is evil were bullshit. Plus, I was exposed to extremely violent pornography and wanted to find others who would speak out against the sex trade. Now I’m here.
Nowadays I don’t support the transition industry, so I’m no longer transmed. I’ve heard too many accounts of the horrifying results of bottom surgery as well as the ill health effects that very often come with taking cross sex hormones. I also don’t support plastic surgery as an industry that profits from people’s insecurities, and trans women often don’t pass without these surgeries. And I also don’t support stopping gender nonconforming children from going through puberty in order for them to pass as the opposite sex.
My stance comes from empathy for those taken advantage of by this industry. I think there are some other ways to manage gender dysphoria, but I know I can’t control whether a person decides to transition or not at the end of the day.
Anyways, I think it’s nice to have gnc male allies :) Thank you for sharing your perspective

Kasparov had once described Polgár as a “circus puppet” and asserted that women chess players should stick to having children. Polgár called the game, “One of the most remarkable moments of my career. Polgár thus became one of the players who have beaten Kasparov. The game was historic as it was the first time in chess history that a female player beat the world’s No. 1 player in competitive play.
Hey TRAs, this is why we want women only leagues. Because men do shit like call us “circus puppets” fit only for motherhood and domestic drudgery.
Imagine if she had lost. How demoralizing. How many women got called similar and were too upset to play? How many women quit because their male competitors harassed and demeaned them?
